I would like to submit a suggestion for improving the management of videos and photos added to posts.

Observed Issue:
When I add an existing video from my device (for example, from the “Downloads” folder) to a post on my account, everything works correctly at the time of publication.
However, if I delete or move the original file on my device after posting, the video automatically disappears from the post. This makes the media unusable on my profile, prevents it from being restored to the post, and negatively impacts the user experience.

Proposed Improvement:
I suggest creating a temporary internal directory within the app where photos and videos added to a post would be stored for the entire lifespan of the post.

This directory would retain the media even if the user deletes or moves the original file on their device.
At the end of the post’s lifespan, as defined in the settings, the files in the temporary directory would be automatically deleted.

This feature would prevent accidental deletion of media attached to posts and ensure more stable display on the profile.

Thank you for your attention and for the excellent work you do on Holos.

Thanks for the report! Media files are already copied to an internal app directory when you publish a post, so deleting or moving the original file on your device should not affect the post.
Could you tell me which version of the app you're using and share a screen recording showing the issue? That would help me figure out what's going wrong.

Thank you for your response regarding my request. I am currently using version 1.5.6 of the application.

As for preparing a video on Android, I cannot make any promises at this time, as I first need to familiarize myself with the procedure.

As an example, I encountered an issue when deleting a video from my downloads folder: the video no longer works on my profile when I try to view it.

Can you still reproduce this issue with the latest version (1.8.1)?

I tested this with version 1.10.

I attached a 12 MB video to the post I published. However, I was not able to complete the test, because without deleting the video, I cannot play it from my profile on my device.

The video itself is fine — I can play it without any issue from my video gallery.
