Description
I just made this public post: https://holos.social/users/fg/statuses/1769285656223-5pisaf
Holos never shows me the image inside the post. It just shows a dark gray rectangle where the image should be. I have to click it to see the image. Behaviour is the same on Home timeline and in Thread view.
Steps to Reproduce
I tried force restarting holos, but to no effect.
Expected Behavior
Images in own posts shown.
Actual Behavior
No image shown.
Screenshots / Logs
Environment
This is the expected behavior when media is marked as sensitive, it's hidden behind a gray overlay until tapped. Could you check if you accidentally enabled the "Sensitive media" checkbox below the media preview when composing the post?
Interesting, I didn't notice that checkbox so far.
I went back in my timeline to the post and went into edit mode of the post: Sensitive media is not checked.
I notice, the image has alt text. There is the little alt tag in the bottom right of the grey image. In the timeline as well as in thread view.
I just posted another image paying attention to not check the box: https://holos.social/users/fg/statuses/1769699030503-3xjn01
I see the image only in thread view not in the timeline.
Left Holos to write this reply. Went back to Holos (to copy the post URL). Holos started up from the beginning (showing the usual screen about connecting). Holos now shows all the images in my posts, everywhere.
I am confused. I know for sure they were not shown before. I remember doing the pull down to reload before as well.
Alright, I did another test (https://holos.social/users/fg/statuses/1769700400276-3z7bjo ) so as of now:
